Actress Melissa McCarthy sells her Buckhead mansion in Atlanta for $4.5 million

Melissa McCarthy‘s Buckhead home is off the market — and it didn’t last long.

McCarthy, the comedic actress who has starred in TV shows including “Gilmore Girls” and “Mike & Molly” and movies such as “Bridesmaids” and the 2016 “Ghostbusters” reboot, sold her mid-century modern house for $4.5 million on Sept. 15, according to Fulton County property deeds.

She listed the house for $4.9 million on Aug. 23, per First Multiple Listing Service.

Lotus Land Company LLC was the buyer, according to county property deeds. The company is registered to Darrell J. Mays, per Georgia state business records.

The house was on the market for 12 days before going under contract, per Realtor.com.

That’s quick relative to metro Atlanta’s luxury housing market as a whole, according to national brokerage firm Redfin Corp.

The typical luxury house stayed on the local market for 22 days before going under contract during the three months ending on June 30.

David H. Wilson of Hamilton Wilson Realty at First United Realty was the list agent. Wilson specializes in residential real estate for film industry talent.

Debra Johnson of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer, per FMLS.

McCarthy is a winner of two Primetime Emmy Awards, for her role in “Mike & Molly” and as a guest host on “Saturday Night Live.” She’s received two Academy Award nominations.

The house was built in 1960 and has been extensively renovated, according to the Hamilton Wilson Realty listing. Atlanta-based luxury homebuilder Derazi Homes oversaw the renovation. Atlanta-based RAD Interiors was responsible for the interior design, lighting and furnishings.
