New residential, commercial subdivisions cropping up throughout all four points of SA

While new subdivision filings have been concentrated on the West Side for some time, the rest of San Antonio seems to be getting a slice of the pie now, too.

Lennar (NYSE: LEN) — which continues to grow its San Antonio footprint — and other land developers applied for new residential subdivisions during the July 12 meeting of the city Planning Commission, while H-E-B filed for a commercial subdivision at the same meeting. There were even filings for more infill development in a San Antonio that is quickly becoming more landlocked.

Other big news in housing this week came from New Braunfels, when ASA Properties, the developer behind Veramendi, revealed plans for another 600 new home lots as well as some 10,000 square feet of commercial real estate for the master-planned community’s next phase.
