Cincinnati luxury home sales hit record high for 2023 in June

Cincinnati’s housing market is continuing to make waves as it remains red hot in 2023, and the luxury housing market witnessed a similar boom in June.

Home sales in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties shot up 8% in June from May, with a total of 1,820. The median sales price for a home sold during June also was up, rising less than 1% to $300,000 from $299,000 in May. This marks the first time this year the median sales price hit that figure. That’s also 3.8% higher than June 2022. 

At the top of the market, six homes sold for $2 million or more in June, with the top sale reaching $3.1 million.

The average sale price for the top 10 home sales in the region in June skyrocketed up more than 20% from the average in May. The average sale price for the top home sales was over $2.2 million, compared to more than $1.8 million in May. That’s the highest average monthly sale price for the top 10 sales in 2023.

There was also a 1% increase in the average sale price for the top 10 home sales in the region from June 2022, when the average sale price was about $2.1 million.

The data for the top sales is courtesy of Sibcy Cline Realtors for transactions involving at least one real estate brokerage. Included for each home is the sale price, the neighborhood, the listing agent and firm, and the buyer’s agent and firm.

The most expensive home sales included properties in Anderson Township, Indian Hill and Mount Lookout. Three of the homes sold in June would have ranked among the top 25 sales for all of 2022.
